Who I Am

Grey Matter Engineering solutions is the home to Patrick Watterson,

a print packaging specialist engineer.

After working within the print and packaging industry for the last 20 years, completing a print specific engineering apprenticeship under the Polestar banner,

I have found myself a in a position where I can take my hand to a variety

of mechanical and electrical projects and repairs.

Some notable achievements throughout my career have been;

*A full factory re-invention to create a BRC certified space with machines and maintenance processes in place. This involved moving a total of 8 internal machines and bringing in an additional 5 machines. 

*Over hall of a PPM system at a newspaper site within their mailroom and automated palatizing lines.

*The upgrade of an old Scheffer inline finishing line to install inverter driven drives to give the site better consistency and longevity. Partnered with APS.

Working with lithographic web and sheet fed presses, cutstars, flexographic print and all accompanied finishing and binding equipment.
